UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev jointly announced a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between their nations, marking a pivotal step in deepening bilateral ties. The agreement aims to expand cooperation across various sectors, aligning with the development goals of both countries and promoting shared interests.
The leaders also oversaw the signing of several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) covering critical areas such as transport, energy, tourism, media, justice, and workforce development. Additional agreements focused on container-ship construction and the establishment of a UAE-Azerbaijan Business Council. Key MoUs included:

An MoU to support Azerbaijan’s Artificial Intelligence Strategy for 2025–2028, focusing on technology deployment, digital transformation, and fostering talent, startups, and innovation ecosystems.
The MoUs were exchanged by UAE Minister of State Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri and Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in the presence of senior officials from both nations.
