Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy, Samad Bashirli, highlighted the promising potential for renewable energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Germany during a German-Azerbaijani event organized by the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan), focused on advancing the transition to green energy.
Bashirli underscored the synergy between Germany’s expertise in renewable energy and Azerbaijan’s abundant wind and solar resources, stating, “This combination opens unique avenues for joint efforts toward a sustainable future.” The event aimed to encourage greater involvement of German initiatives in Azerbaijan’s renewable energy and technology sectors while promoting collaboration to achieve sustainable development goals.
Discussions also covered specific opportunities for future German-Azerbaijani partnerships in green energy, emphasizing the expansion of bilateral trade, investment, and innovative projects to support Azerbaijan’s renewable energy ambitions.
