Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov received Mojtaba Demirchilou, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan.
According to information from the Ministry of Energy, during the meeting, an extensive exchange of views took place regarding the current state of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran in the energy sector, the joint projects being implemented, their execution process, and future prospects.
The parties touched upon issues related to the more efficient implementation of mutually beneficial energy projects, the expansion of existing cooperation, and the exploration of new opportunities.
It was emphasized at the meeting that the upcoming session of the State Commission on Economic, Trade, and Humanitarian Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran, to be held in Baku in the coming days, will be of significant importance in terms of accelerating the implementation of current projects and determining new directions of cooperation.
This meeting is regarded as one of the consistent steps toward further strengthening strategic partnership in the energy sector between the two neighboring countries and enhancing regional energy security.
