Azerbaijan and Ukraine have discussed strengthening cooperation in the energy sector

Bilateral cooperation issues in the energy sector between Azerbaijan and Ukraine have once again come to the agenda.

Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine, Seymur Mardaliyev, provided information about this in a post on his “X” social media account.

According to the ambassador, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov held an online meeting with Ukraine’s Minister of Energy German Galushchenko. In addition to the development prospects of cooperation in the energy sector, the meeting also thoroughly discussed issues related to Azerbaijan’s support for strengthening Ukraine’s energy security and resilience.

Seymur Mardaliyev also noted that after the ministers’ meeting, he personally held an exchange of views with Ukraine’s Minister of Energy German Galushchenko on further deepening bilateral energy cooperation and expanding collaboration in specific directions.

This meeting is of significant importance in terms of Azerbaijan continuing its support for Ukraine’s energy sector and the strategic partnership between the two countries advancing to a new stage in the energy field.
