Samir Akhundov, Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan’s Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA), held a meeting with Tural Aliyev, General Director of Green Corridor Alliance LLC.
The two sides discussed possible avenues for collaboration between AERA and Green Corridor Alliance LLC. They exchanged views on planned activities under the “Green Energy Corridor” initiative, its regulatory framework and the potential role AERA could play, infrastructure and market mechanisms for electricity exports, technical and institutional cooperation opportunities, as well as other topics of shared interest.
Notably, on November 13, 2024, the governments of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan signed an “Agreement on Strategic Partnership in the Development and Transmission of Green Energy.” Green Corridor Alliance LLC was established to help implement this agreement.
