Azerbaijan's State Oil Company (SOCAR) and San Marino have discussed potential cooperation in natural gas supply, renewable energy, and decarbonization. According to Report, citing SOCAR, the discussions took place during a meeting between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and San Marino's Secretary of State for Finance, Budget, Transport and Energy Marco Gatti, as well as Secretary of State for Labour, Economic Planning, Relations with A.A.S.S., Ecological Transition and Technological Innovation Alessandro Bevitori.
The meeting highlighted Azerbaijan's growing role in Europe's energy security and the importance of the Southern Gas Corridor in this context. It was noted that Azerbaijani natural gas is currently exported to 16 countries.
The guests were provided with detailed information about SOCAR's green energy agenda and the areas of activity of SOCAR Green.
The sides also exchanged views on various aspects of the energy sector and other matters of mutual interest.
