AzerEnergy OJSC is dismantling the existing "Khankandi-2" 110/35/10 kV substation in Khankandi city and the "Hasanriz" 110/35/10 kV substation in Aghdara district, and rebuilding them using the most modern digital technologies, Report informs, citing AzerEnergy.
It was noted that the construction of the "Khankandi-2" substation will ensure more reliable, stable, and high‑quality electricity supply for Khankandi city, surrounding settlements, and all key infrastructure facilities.
The "Hasanriz" substation under construction in Aghdara district will not only improve the reliability of power supply to consumers in the district, including industrial enterprises, but will also enable the safe and uninterrupted transmission of electricity generated at the Sarsang and other hydroelectric power stations operating in the region to the national power grid.
According to Teymur Abdullayev, Head of the Public Relations Centre of AzerEnergy, a local micro‑SCADA dispatch control system will be installed at the "Khankandi-2" and "Hasanriz" substations for remote control of switching equipment and real‑time transmission of operational data. These systems will be integrated into AzerEnergy's Central SCADA control platform.
It should be noted that earlier, AzerEnergy completely reconstructed the "Khankandi-1" substation and commissioned it as an indoor‑type substation in December of last year.
With the completion of the new projects, the number of substations built by AzerEnergy in the liberated territories will reach 16. At the same time, 38 hydroelectric power stations have already been built and commissioned in the region, and construction of an additional 8 hydroelectric power stations is currently ongoing.
