More than 7.2 billion manats ($4.2 billion) have been invested in industrial zones managed by the Economic Zones Development Agency (EZDA) under Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy to date, Report informs.
According to the agency, entrepreneurs operating in the zones have produced and sold products worth 20.9 billion manats, of which more than 6.7 billion manats ($3.9 billion) worth were exported.
Currently, a favorable business environment has been created for entrepreneurs in nine industrial parks, three industrial districts and two private industrial districts operating in Azerbaijan.
More than 11,200 permanent jobs have been created, while hundreds of projects have received support for implementation.
A total of 148 residents and 10 non‑residents are registered in the country's industrial zones.
