Azerbaijan and US-based "Brookfield Asset Management" have discussed cooperation opportunities in energy transition, energy storage systems and renewable energy.
Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said the discussions took place during his meeting with Connor Teskey, CEO of "Brookfield Asset Management", on the sidelines of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026).
The meeting focused on potential investment areas and projects in Azerbaijan, taking into account the company’s global investment activities in real assets. The sides also considered opportunities for investment in digital infrastructure and other sectors.
As part of AIIF 2026, M. Jabbarov also met with Robert F. Smith, Founder and Chairman of "Vista Equity Partners". The meeting included an exchange of views on Azerbaijan’s investment potential, the economic reforms being implemented in the country, and opportunities created for international investors.
The sides also discussed new opportunities emerging in global financial markets and the prospects they create for attracting investment to Azerbaijan’s economy.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on new areas of mutual investment interest and explored opportunities to further develop cooperation between Azerbaijan and "Vista Equity Partners".
