Azerbaijan and the European Union (EU) discussed expanding cooperation on energy security, reliable gas supplies, renewable energy and the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Green Energy Corridor.
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov said that the fourth meeting of the Azerbaijan-EU High-Level Energy Dialogue was held in Brussels with EU Commissioner for Energy and Housing Dan Jørgensen.
The meeting highlighted mutual interest in further strengthening the strategic energy partnership between Azerbaijan and the EU through the development of renewable energy and electricity interconnections.
Shahbazov emphasized the importance of including the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Green Energy Corridor project on the list of Projects of Mutual Interest (PMI), particularly amid growing electrification in Europe and increasing demand for green energy.
